The Way Home
"What we just accomplished was without a doubt one of the most significant things a human being can ever do. Yet, when I look at the wild, I don't see it changed. We reset the course of history, saved a whole species, yet the flowers bloom the same as they always have, the wind blows through the trees as it always does and the clouds pass by hastily as they always will. It is as if they have already forgotten something they never knew. This is our way home. And it's going to be a long one."
 
I painted this one back in 2022. It was a study of a rather expressionistic landscape  and it gave me the courage to keep going.
